GCh Honor, RN, CGC

Laurie finally got Honie's win picture in the mail from when she finished her Grand Championship title last month - and was it worth the wait!  She's really grown up to be a very pretty girl - and heck, she's still just a kid!  Tomorrow is their 18 month birthday.  Congrats again, Laurie and Honor!

Honor's new titles!! WoooHoo!!

I should have posted this a week and a half ago but I've been working very long days/weeks getting my office moved to a new building.  300 people and all that that entails is a big job.

So the Big News is that Honor finished her Grand Championship title at the San Joaquin Kennel Club show in Stockton over the Thanksgiving weekend!  Not only that but she also earned her Rally Novice title that same weekend!  She and Laurie just continue to amaze me.  There's nothing they can't accomplish together, I'm just so proud of them both.

Laurie hasn't gotten Honie's win picture back from the show photographer for her GCH but I was there the day they finished their RN - here's some pics.  Honor is now more formally known as
GCH Montague's Promises Kept, RN, CGC.

In Rally you follow directions on signs that the judge puts out in a pattern.  Things such as 270 degree turn to the left, Halt, sit your dog, walk around your dog and continue heeling, Fast pace, slow pace, right turn, left turn, etc., until you make it through the course at the end.  It's a timed event but the time is only used to break a tie.  The judge watches the team and scores them on how well they perform each excercise.

Getting ready to go in the ring.

In this exercise, Honie had to lay down on Laurie's command, then stay in
place while Laurie walked around her and back into heel position.

I love her happy working attitude!

Congrats on a new RN title!!

Teller the talker

Had to share this one.  This is a video Holly sent me of  Teller, love it.  :o)

Like grandpa, like grandson

I think one of the things that really drew me to Hacker as a baby puppy is how much he reminds me of his grandad, Hayden.  These are pictures of Hayden (top) when he was a young man (he's always thought he was just a tiny Baby Boy and really Did fit in that bed) and Hacker (bottom) when we were at the shows in Portland last January for his very first shows.

So much family resemblance.  Love my boys!!

Teller

I love, Love, LOVE getting picture updates!  This is Teller and Creed.  Creed is actually the puppies great-uncle.  Teller and Creed are best buds as you can see here.

Throw it again, mom!  Throw it again!!!

Handsome boy, Teller, chasing the ball.  In addition to being shown in the conformation ring, he's also training for Agility trials just like his brother, Axyl.  Can't wait 'til these boys start their Agility careers!

Axyl

Received this pic from Axyl's folks in North Carolina.  He's snuggling with his "sister" (who is actually his aunt) MaXXie and their dad.  Axyl is training for Agility and Obedience Trials.  I can't wait until he starts competing!  I love that he's still a snuggle bug.  Handsome boy.

Teller

I've been meaning to post some updated pictures of the puppies (they'll always be "puppies" to me <g>).  This is Teller, he lives in TN with papa Sagan.  Teller's training for Agility trials and his mom, Holly, shows him in conformation when she has the time.  He has two points towards his Championship title.  He's a handsome baby boy!

CH. Honor

Laurie received Honie's win picture yesterday from the Bonanza KC show where she finished her championship.  Honor was always a pretty puppy, she's grown into a lovely girl and is sweet as can be.  I couldn't be more proud of her and Laurie.

Another new champion!

Two weeks ago Laurie and Honor went to the Bonanza Kennel Club shows up in Carson City.  Honor only needed four points and one major to finish her championship title.  On September 30th she earned a 5 point major, completing her title!  She is now "CH Montague's Promises Kept".  I am So proud of her and Laurie, they are a great team.

Laurie had already entered her in two more weekends of shows so she moved her up to the Best of Breed class (the class for Champions).  That first weekend she was Select Bitch both days earning 3 points each day towards her Grand Championship!  Then this past weekend Honor and Laurie went to the shows in Las Vegas where she was Best of Opposite Sex (to Best of Breed) both days for another nine points!  Whew!  Only two weekends out as a Special (a dog who has finished his/her "CH" and is now showing in Best of Breed) and she already has 15 of the 25 points towards her Grand Championship. WOW!!!!  I'm a Very proud Grandma!!!   I'll post pictures when Laurie receives them from the photographer.  We've received lots of very nice comments on Honie, she's matured into a very lovely, and multi-talented, girl.

This past weekend in Tennesee papa Sagan earned 2 more points towards his Grand Championship title bringing him to 23 points.  Brother Teller also showed and was Reserve Winners Dog at yesterdays show.  Good puppies!

New Champion!

I received my win pics from the Puget Sound Dal club specialty up in WA.  Hacker was both Best In Sweeps and Winner's Dog.  I took two pictures, one with each judge, but like this Sweeps pic better than the other one - so this is the one I'm sharing.  ;o)

Stella in the Sweepstakes class

On the drive up to Washington we stopped at a park in Oregon to let the dogs swim.  Honor's a pro, she swims all the time.  Except for the little wading pool I had for the puppies when they were at my house, Hacker had only one other experience in a pool and Stella had none.  Didn't take them long to figure out they loved the water!

TommieMommy wasn't as impressed, she preferred just wading.

Home from Washington!

Last week my friend Laurie and I took Tommie, Hacker, Honor, Stella and Miley up to the Puget Sound Dalmatian Club specialty up in the Seattle area of Washington state.

On the first day of the drive we stopped at an awesome park in Oregon that had the perfect river beach for dogs to swim.  Her girls, Honor and Miley are pros at swimming as she has a pool.  Tommie, Hacker and Stella haven't had nearly as much experience but the puppies LOVED it!  Laurie was taking pics so I have to wait to get them from her, then I'll post them when I get them.

The next day we made it into Belleview, WA.  The La Quinta Inn is very dog friendly with several restaurants within easy walking distance.  The weather was really nice all week.

The Specialty shows (Dalmatians only) were on Friday and Saturday with an all-breed show on Sunday.  Hacker, Honor and Stella all showed in puppy Sweepstakes classes.  On Friday the girls placed in their class and did a very nice job.  Hacker won his class, then went on to win Best In Sweeps

After Sweepstakes came the regular classes.  Stella won her 12-18 mos. class.  Honor won her Amateur-Owner class.  Hacker won his Bred-By-Exhibitor class and then went on to Winners' Dog for his second 3-point major to finish his Championship title!  WooHoo!!!  It was Soooo exciting, and even better under a judge who is also a Dalmatian breeder.  Hacker's now more formally known as CH Montague Phoenix Unauthorized Access.  Now we get to start training a little more seriously for his performance career - which is my first love.

On Saturday at the second Specialty Honor won her Sweepstakes class and went on to Best Senior in Sweeps - beating her brother!  :o)  She then won her Amateur-owner class and went on to Reserve Winner's Bitch.  No points, but it was still a very nice placement and she did a beautiful job.

On Sunday at the all-breed show Stella won her class and went on to Reserve Winner's Bitch.  Stellie did a beautiful job too!  So all in all the puppies did very well up there.

Dave and grand-dad Hayden stayed home and had an old-guys weekend.  They were both very happy to see me when I got home.  :o)

It was fun seeing friends that we really only get to see at dog shows either when we go up there or they come down here, usually for a Specialty show.  Hopefully we'll get to see some of them when they come down for our Specialty (Dalmatian Club of Northern California) in October in Dixon.

I'll post pics when I get them! :o)

A year ago this weekend....

The puppies started leaving for their new homes.  Where did the year go?  I cried with each and every one of them, even the ones I knew I would see on a regular basis.  Heck, even the ones that I co-own with long-time friends!  Yeah, I'm pretty pathetic ;o).  I love my grandpuppies.

Here's Honor at the Richmond Dog Fancier's show up in Dixon earlier this month.  She's grown into a beautiful girl and has 11 of the 15 points it takes to finish her Championship title.
( l-r) - Honor, their "step-mother" Miley, Honor's mom Laurie, and Hacker swimming at a friends pool.  The girls love the water, Hacker's still not so sure.

Hacker earned his first major in June at the Contra Costa KC show in Vallejo.  He now has 12 points towards his Championship title.

Sweet Harley is doing his snoopy imitation on his dog house.  He looks pretty proud of himself!  Handsome boy.

Stella with her mom, Karen at the Dalmatian Club of America's national specialty show in Tulsa last May.  She's taking a trip with us up to Seattle for the Puget Sound specialty soon.

Miss Pepper, sweet baby girl, sitting nicely for a treat.  I miss my grandbabies!

Looking forward to some updated pics of all the puppies soon.

Dock Diving video

A little addition to my post from a few days ago - this video is of Honor's last two practice jumps last weekend.  These were even farther than what she did earlier in competition.  The girl LOVES the water!

Dock diving! Who knew?

So Honor and her "step-mom", Miley have taken up dock diving in their spare time.  Their human mom, Laurie, chaufer's them.  This weekend they had their first competition and they both earned placements in their respective divisions.  Miley was 1st in her division and Honor was 2nd in hers.  Pretty darn good for their first competition!

She also enjoys dock diving.  She's our own little "Esther Williams"

And after all that swimming and diving she's one pooped girl!

Happy 1st Birthday!

How did one year go by already?  The puppies are growing and thriving.  I have the pleasure of seeing the ones who live close by fairly regularly, others I get to see on occasion and the rest I hope to be able to see in the near future or at least by pictures.  I love getting updates and pictures of them.

Love you my babies!  Hope you all enjoy your birthday presents when you get them.  I picked out chewies that were made in America, I don't trust the ones made outside of North America.  ~sigh~
