Two more weeks to go!

Here's Tommie's latest tummy view.  She's getting more saggy in the middle :o).  This weekend Dave got the whelping box down from the rafters for me.  I scrubbed it down and put it in the spare bedroom with a quilt in it to encourage her to check it out.  Of course she was not impressed.  She thinks princesses should give birth on a proper bed - like the daybed she always sleeps on.....  ;o)

Not as big of a difference between last week's side view and this weeks'.  I'm kind of glad about that - if she kept growing as quickly as she has been I'm afraid her ninnies would be dragging the ground before the pups were born!  She's still doing well, still running around, trying to (unsuccessfully thank goodness) catch the squirrels in the back yard.     

Oh how the tummy grows.  These pictures were each taken about a week apart with the top picture taken just yesterday.  And she still has four weeks to go!

Yay! Puppies!

Tommie had her ultra-sound today - and she's preggers!  Dr. Cain says there's between 8-10 in there, possible more!  8-10 is more than plenty, thank you very much.  My dogs have always been over-achievers.  ;o)

Her due date is June 20th.  It'll be fun watching her belly grow <G>

Great weekend!

On Saturday Tommie completed her Companion Dog Excellent title (CDX) earning 4th place in Open B.  She and her dad, Hayden, enjoyed cheeseburgers to celebrate!

While back east Holly and papa Sagan completed their Novice Agility Jumpers title (NAJ) at the National.  Good boy, Sagan!  Congrats, Holly!

On Sunday I decided to move Tommie up to Utility B just to see how things went.  I was Very pleased with how she worked, only losing 1.5 points overall in the exercises she completed.  Unfortunately she had a glitch in her go-outs for directed jumping so we flunked.  Still, overall she did Great!  Good girl TommieLou!!

And.......she's "done"

Yes, she thinks she's a princess....because the couch alone wasn't cooshy enough.  This was up at my mom's house last month.

As much as I anticipated her coming into season I am Sooooooo glad she is now snarking at Hayden when he tries to flirt with her (he's still hopeful).  She says "Nuthin' doin' buddy!  Leave me aLone!"  Yay!  Life can start to get back to normal in a couple days. I'll give her a bath this weekend to wash off all the "come hither" smells that are on her.  The waiting continues.....
